Boiling Springs Savings Bank Makes Donation to Oasis - A Haven for Women and Children - April 5, 2019
Branch Manager, Diana Dempsey is delighted to present Oasis representatives, Jennifer Brady and Laetitia Cairoli, with a $5,000 donation.
Boiling Springs Savings Bank has donated $5,000 to Oasis - A Haven for Women & Children. The contribution further supports the bank’s longstanding mission to enhance the quality of life in the communities it serves.
Oasis, located in Paterson, NJ, has been dedicated to helping women and children living in poverty since 1997. Oasis provides meals, clothing and baby supplies to those in need as well as gift donations during the holiday season. The organization holds workshops on stress management, literacy, and other topics that will help empower the women it serves. Oasis is dedicated to assisting the public by providing events such as health screenings and nutrition classes to educate students and community members.
In addition to contributing annual donations, Boiling Springs Savings Bank - inspired by the compelling stories of women who survived homelessness and broke the cycle of poverty through Oasis - helped implement the American Bankers Association’s Teller Certificate Program at the organization. The program, offered for the past four years, has educated upwards of 40 women.
“We are proud to support Oasis - A Haven for Women & Children, as a way to honor the organization’s extraordinary efforts to change the lives of women and children,” said Deb Cannariato, SVP Marketing for Boiling Springs Savings Bank. “Through the American Bankers Association’s Teller Certificate Program, we have demonstrated a true commitment to supporting Oasis' mission”
